Field Trip Weekend - Air and Water Show

Field Trip weekend continued when Joshua and I went to the Chicago Air and Water Show. Joshua and I jumped in the car with my bike and bike trailer. Then we made the journey to join an estimated 1 million of our closest friends. It was packed and fun.

Field Trip Weekend - Thomas

This past weekend has been officially deemed Field Trip Weekend. We had a blast. Our first stop was visiting Thomas the Train at the Illinois Railroad museum. 

Joshua loved it and Susannah enjoyed her ride in the backpack.

Joshua is very much into listening to the CD that Mimi made for him.

Swim Bug

We gave a little swimmer on our hands. Last week we took Joshua to the pool again and, as always, he loved it.

He loves to go down this little white slide for toddlers over and over and over.

2 man band

Joshua recruited a new member to his band. Everytime the song comes on, which is fairly common, Susannah gets excited and now starts to play along!

We did it!

Last Christmas, unbeknownst to her, I set a goal to run a half marathon with my wife. After months of training and pushing the kids in a double jogging stroller WE DID IT!!!

Yesterday we ran the Chicago Rock and Roll Half Marathon!

I am so proud of Kristin for running! 

We got 15,005th and 15,006th place.

It was hard, but worth it.
