This summer I have decided to do something I have never done before: run a half marathon.
Yes, it’s a bit crazy, but I am excited about the adventure. I am excited to push myself physically and I am excited to be doing it for a great cause.
I believe that God’s design for children is to be placed in families. Yet every night there are children throughout Latin America facing some very dark situations. God is using Casa Viva to offer hope to these little ones—hope in the form of Christian families. Casa Viva is working with Christian churches in Costa Rica to identify, train, and equip families to welcome children into their homes.
These Casa Viva families are living out the verse in Matthew that says "Whoever welcomes a child in my name, welcomes me." They are the hands and feet of Jesus as they welcome these little ones into their families. And so in this safe and loving refuge, these little ones can experience the love of Christ in a completely new way.
I am running so that more children will hear the words. . . ."Welcome home!"

My goal is to raise a minimum of $750, and so anything you can do to help is greatly appreciated. Will you join me in this adventure by clicking “Sponsor Me” from my profile page:
