I grew up hearing about the Bulligators in Hondo creek. Bulligators are an animal half bull, half aligator (but really its all bull) that in habits the creek.
You know when there is a Bulligator in the water because you see air bubbling up to the surface. Mysteriously my dad began telling us about Bulligators in the lake in Nebraska after a trip to Texas when I was nine or so.
Well at the recent family reunion we swam in the Hondo Creek... and luckily we saw no Bulligators.

Cinco Generaciones
Recent we got together to celebrate my great-grandmother's 100th birthday. We met family in Hondo, TX where she lives and where my dad grew up.
This is a photo of those five generations:
Great-Grandma (Elsa) Schweers
Grandma (Dorothy) Schulte
Dad (Gary) Schulte
Me
Joshua and Susannah Schulte.
After leaving the reunion I had this reality check where I realized that in order for me to have 5 generations under me that 70 years from now... my grand children's grand children would be there... bizarre.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Great Grandma!
